Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA)

Significant issues now face employers of all sizes as we approach the primary implementation of the Affordable Care Act. It is incumbent upon employers to begin looking at their current situation and evaluate those strategies which will best position them to implement certain provisions of the regulation. As more and more detailed information comes out, we have seen a significant increase in the level of confusion and misunderstanding. Many employers don't know what they should be doing now.

This presentation will focus on the following points employers need to determine:

    1. Are they a small or large employer?

    How to make that determination.

    *Common ownership rules.

    *Variable hour employee rules.

     2. What is the impact on small vs. large employers?

    Play or Pay rules.

What it means to your employees (Individual Mandates).

This will give the attendees a general working knowledge of those points which their companies need to begin analyzing now to be better prepare them for the decisions they will be facing as we approach January 1, 2014.
