    Speaker: Colin Smoak

    Born and raised in England, Colin graduated from The College of Charleston with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Colin coached college soccer at The College of Charleston for six years. Since then Colin has held various insurance related positions. With over 23 years of employee benefits consulting experience, both in Home Office and Field Sales Management, Colin has overseen and developed sales organizations, designed worksite benefits, and managed recruiting programs. He has expertise in small and large case management, clients with multi-state locations, enrollment technology and benefits design. In addition to licenses in the areas of life, health, disabilities and annuities, Colin is a member of The National Association of Health Underwriters and is a past President of the Charleston Chapter of Health Underwriters. In 2010, Colin was recognized by Employee Benefit News as a candidate for National Broker of The Year. 2011 also marked the fifth consecutive year Colin has achieved Leading Producers Round Table status at the highest level, Golden Eagle. This award is made annually by the National Association of Health Underwriters to the top producers across the country.
