Last Minute Preparation for the New FLSA Overtime Rules

On May 2016, the US Department of Labor announced the final regulations revising the "white collar" overtime exemptions. The final rule: sets the minimum salary level for exemption at $47,476 ($913/week) and the salary level for highly compensated test at $134,004; provides for automatic increases in the salary levels after three years (beginning January 1, 2020); and allows employers to count any bonuses paid on at least a quarterly basis toward 10% of the minimum salary level. The first part of this session will recap the required updates to your compensation plan and the effects of SC Payment of Wages Act on your implementation strategies In the second half of the session, Attorney Molly Cherry will focus on answering attendees previously submitted questions. All questions are to be submitted at the time of registration and are due by October 10th. If time allows, Molly will also answer impromptu questions.
