    Preparing for an Active Shooter in the Workplace

     

    This presentation will help the private and public employers understand the importance of developing an emergency response plan and the need to train employees on how to respond if confronted with an active shooter. It also describes the types of active shooters and how the local police department will be responding to the situation.

    Speaker: 

    SGT Trevor Shelor, City of Charleston Police Department.  Bio: Sergeant Shelor has served the City of Charleston Police Department since 1990 and has been the Crime Prevention Specialist since June of 2002.  He is certified through the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners (ISCPP) in both general crime prevention and CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design).
