    "Making Healthcare Affordable Again"

The goal of the presentation is to inform HR Professionals about options in the healthcare arena to help lower costs for the employer as well as for the employees and their families.   Many of these are new, innovative and efficient strategies that have proven to be a win-win for the employer and the employee.  This will broaden the knowledge of the HR professional as well as the staff member in charge of managing employee benefits for the organization.

The cost of employee benefits, especially healthcare, is the highest overhead cost an employer experiences in relation to the bottom line.  Healthcare costs are not going down and getting a premium renewal notice where the premiums have not gone up is extremely rare.  HR Professionals and CFOs, as well as owners of businesses, are always looking to contain costs, especially overhead costs in order to improve their company’s bottom line.   Medical insurance premiums and related costs are also extremely high for your employees and their families and affect their personal budgets as well.  You, as an HR Professional responsible for managing a viable and cost-efficient benefits program, must find a balance that not only helps your company’s bottom line but is affordable and genuinely helpful for your employees and their families.  In addition, in this world where companies compete to recruit the best employees, you must offer a benefits program that is both competitive and unique (one that sets you apart).
