    Employment in South Carolina is at-will. But, what does that really mean? Are there any restrictions on terminating employees in South Carolina? Please join us for an interactive presentation on at-will employment and the various exceptions to at-will employment. The speaker will discuss a number of issues that arise with any seperation of employment and will walk through the steps to take before termination.

    Speaker: Molly Hughes Cherry

    Molly Cherry is a member in the Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina offices of Nexsen Pruet, LLC, where she practices in the areas of labor and employment and general business litigation.  She is a certified specialist in labor and employment law and represents management in all types of employment matters including discrimination law, disability law, employment contracts and non-competition covenants, employment torts, minimum and overtime wages, harassment litigation and training, as well as regulatory compliance issues.  Ms. Cherry served for three years on the South Carolina Employment and Labor Law Advisory Board, including as chair.  She is a past chair of the Employment and Labor Law Section of the South Carolina Bar and a past chair of the board for PSHRM.  She is also a member of the Coastal Human Resources Management Association in Myrtle Beach, SC.
